Tips for Your Wedding Invitation

Most couple want their wedding invitation unique and it showcase their own personal touch. Whether you want something ultra-traditional or super-casual, there are lots of styles that you choose. Here are the following tips in wedding invitation.

Choose soft colors. Black and white is still a popular choice. Many couples go for "earthy" colors. If you want to be more daring you can choose vibrant invite colors.

Pick bold patterns and designs. Sandra Raymond says, "The use of various farm animals and woodland creatures is also becoming increasingly popular since many people are keeping it simple and having their weddings on a family farm or estate."

Try a different shape. Hopkins says that a tea-length design is a nice break from the traditional square-shaped invites.

Add some embellishment. You can use anything from stone brooches and pearls to freeze dried flowers to embellish your invites, but remember that less is often more.

Personalize it. Monogramming is still in.Many couples love to showcase a duogram on their invites.

Go green. Many couples are trying to find ways to make their wedding a more environmentally-friendly affair, and you can certainly do that with your invites.

Sporting Events Tips For Your Wedding

Sports-minded couples are increasingly finding ways to incorporate their active lifestyles into their wedding planning options. Organized tennis, biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking and even hockey are some of the ways brides are keeping guests entertained and keeping themselves relaxed. Some look upon a friendly tourney or sporting event as a moment of Zen, a way to blow off wedding-planning stress and instill a bit of normalcy into a whirlwind weekend.

Once you decide to make an organized activity part of your wedding weekend, set plans early, especially if you're scheduling it for a weekend. Drum up excitement by sending out separate invitations. Include a note about what attire is recommended for the activity and what equipment will be supplied. Giving out token prizes to participants for additional fun. Offer options for those who want to hang back and opt out of the activities, even if it's providing a comfortable seat to enjoy their roles as spectator and cheerleaders.
